Prism 2025

Prism 2025, brought to you by Prism Co., is the latest annual edition of the Prism Creative Conference. Creative professionals across all areas of design gather at Prism to learn something new about their craft, make new connections with professionals in their field, and get inspired to create something new.

Around the time of this project I had discovered the art of oil and water photography, which is a style of macro photography that focuses on the interactions between oil and water. The resulting oil bubbles are typically either silhouetted against a colorful background or physically colored using inks, resulting in stunning compositions and textures.

It occurred to me that this style of photography was a fitting visual representation of creative minds coming together, bouncing ideas off each other and forming a beautiful, vibrant collective.

So I took a crack at creating my own oil and water photography and used one of my images from this fun experiment as the basis for the Prism 2025 marketing and wayfinding collateral.
